Living For The City vs Price Tag
For this new blog I listened two songs about the money and the importance of having it or not having it.
The first song I listened was "Price Tag" from Jessie J, in that song she talks about how life is not all about the money, ask us to forget about the price tag, that is something that we don't need, she also talks about "paying with love".
From this song a quote that I like is "money can't buy us happiness", because I really think that it's true, happiness is not something you can buy, but I also think that money is important, and is important to have it.
In this capitalist world, where everything has a price, even the things that are supposed to be human rights, like education or health, if you don't have money you can't survive.
And that is something that is reflected on the second song "Living For The City" by Steven Wonder. He talk about a family who works sometimes for fourteen hours, and still have to struggle to feed the rest of the family and give them a good life. He talks about the racism and the injustice in America.
So this two songs talks from two different points of view, and I think it's important to talk and discuss the two opinions and don't dismiss anything.
